Water Quality at SUNY ESF
There are many ways to get involved with our lab group! Please reach out via email (cbgeorga@esf.edu) at any time if you would like to start a new collaboration.
Postdocs
If you are perhaps a year out from finishing your PhD and interested in a postdoctoral research opportunity, I would be happy to discuss ways for us to collaborate. I will likely recommend that we together write a proposal on which you are the PI to ensure that your postdoc experience matches your interests, goals, and includes skills that you may be interested in building. I completed a USDA Postdoctoral Fellowship and can provide that experience as a backdrop.
MS & PhD Students
We are seeking 1-2 new graduate students to start fall 2024. We are interested in both students looking to pursue a PhD program and those interested in a Master’s program. Please reach out if you have any questions about your applicability for these positions. Students with relevant experience in environmental engineering, ecology, environmental studies, agroecosystems, and /or chemistry are all encouraged to apply.

I am affiliated with two graduate programs from which students may choose. Those programs are through the Graduate Program in Environmental Science through the Department of Environmental Resources Engineering. The choice of one of these options is up to you and what degree program you think would best suit your interests and academic goals!

I ask all applicants follow the multi-step process outlined in this document to help determine if my lab is the right fit for you. ESF’s graduate school applications are due January 15, 2024, though I request a few steps be taken prior to that deadline.
Undergraduate Research Assistants
There will be opportunities for undergraduate researchers to engage with existing projects and to lead their own projects. If you are interested in joining our group please contact me via email (cbgeorga@esf.edu). There are opportunities for students both from ESF and other institutions.
